Mallorca, Spain (2/20-2/22)
After an exciting weekend in Lisbon, the girls and I took off for a relaxing couple of days in Mallorca, Spain. Mallorca is an Island off the coast of Barcelona and is a popular spot for vacations because of its countless beaches and luxury hotels.
All five of us had the same mindset going into Mallorca. We wanted to use these two days to do whatever we pleased. We had zero obligations so we each had the freedom to spend our days how we wished.
Our hotel was located along the water and had an infinite view of the ocean. Elba Sunset Majorca had so much to offer so I did my best to take advantage of it all.
Here’s a day in my life at the Elba Sunset Hotel in Mallorca, Spain:
8:15 AM
I hit the gym first thing in the morning. Not only was I anxious to break a sweat, but I was anxious to work out next to the water. The gym was enclosed with glass windows that overlooked the ocean. While running on the treadmill I was able to watch the seagulls catch their breakfast. Seeing the birds dive down and tussle in the water was mesmerizing. Working out is a lot easier when the ocean is in front of you as a distraction.
9:30 AM
The all-inclusive breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet closed at 10:00 AM, so I had to be sure to finish my workout in time. This was the buffet of my dreams. They offered every single breakfast food you could think of. I always took some yogurt and granola, eggs, and hashbrowns. Then, of course, I had a few pastries each morning, and some juice, and fresh fruit, and coffee. Each morning I probably ate enough breakfast to feed my family of four. It was amazing.

10:30 AM
Slept by the pool.
Moved into the sun.
Slept more.
Closed my eyes.
Walked down to the beach.
Found the sun again.
Took another nap.
The Mallorca life was pretty brutal.
6:30 PM
For sunset, we all headed to Ally and Tay's room. We sipped on champagne or a cocktail and cheersed to our vacation. I felt so spoiled as a wore my hotel robe and held a drink in my hand. It was a good thing we weren’t there for too long because I was starting to get used to the lifestyle of doing absolutely nothing.

7:30 PM
Dinner on the deck. The hotel had a restaurant that served yummy and affordable food. I ordered french fries with every meal I ate. I think the waiter was getting sick of us because we were taking the restaurant's entire supply of ketchup and mayonnaise. Every time he returned to check on us he had to come bearing another few jars of sauces.

9:00 PM
Bedtime. We crawled into our king beds nice and early to make the most of our hotel rooms. Listening to the waves put me right to sleep and my head hit the pillow without a single worry.
...
If I were to return to Mallorca, I would be sure to explore the island more. Since it is the off-season, a lot of restaurants and excursions were closed, making the towns feel a little dead. I am sure that Mallorca in the summertime is a wonderful experience so I look forward to hearing about my friends' time here in the later months.
